【摘要】:ThismethodisfordeterminingtheconcentrationofammoniumioninaqueoussolutionsbyIonChromatography(IC).Thelimitofquantitationofthemethodis0.0001mass-%(1mass-ppm).Sodiumandpotassiuminterferewiththeanalysiswhentheyarepresentatconcentrationsgreaterthan0.1mass-%.Acidicsamplesthatcontaingreaterthan50-mMhydroniumionconcentration(pHlessthan1.3)deterioratetheperformanceoftheanalysis(throughlossofresolution).Organiccontaminationshouldalsobekepttoaminimum(tolengthencolumnlife).Samplematrixeffectscanbeavoidedorminimizedbysampledilution,butonlyattheexpenseoftheanalysislimitofquantitation.WhenusedinconjunctionwithUOPMethod958(anextractionprocedure),ammoniacanalsobedeterminedinhydrocarbonsamples.
