【摘要】:1.1Theserequirementsapplytopoweroperateddispensingdevices,rated600Vacorless,forusewithmotorfuels.Motorfuels,asdefinedbytheserequirements,includeoneormoreofthefuelsdescribedin1.2.1.2Dispensingdevicescoveredbytheserequirementsareintendedforusewithoneormoreofthefollowing:a)GasolineformulatedinaccordancewiththeStandardSpecificationforAutomotiveSpark-IgnitionFuel,ANSI/ASTMD4814;b)Gasoline/ethanolblendswithnominalethanolconcentrationsupto25percentethanol(E25),consistingofgasolineformulatedinaccordancewiththeStandardSpecificationforAutomotiveSpark-IgnitionFuel,ANSI/ASTMD4814,whenblendedwithdenaturedfuelethanolformulatedtobeconsistentwiththeStandardSpecificationforDenaturedFuelEthanolforBlendingWithGasolineforUseasAutomotiveSpark-IgnitionEngineFuel,ANSI/ASTMD4806;orc)Gasoline/ethanolblendswithnominalethanolconcentrationsabove25percentformulatedinaccordancewiththeStandardSpecificationsinitem(b)orformulatedinaccordancewiththeStandardSpecificationforFuelEthanol(Ed75–Ed85)forAutomotiveSpark-IgnitionEngines,ANSI/ASTMD5798,asapplicable.1.3Theserequirementsmaybeusedtoevaluateindividualcomponentsofadispensingdeviceforaratingofgasoline,orgasoline/ethanolblendsofanyconcentrationupto85percent(E0–E85),inbothfluidconfiningandvaporrecoveryapplications.Thesecomponentsincludethefollowing:a)Hosenozzlevalves;b)Hoseassemblies;c)Emergencybreakawaycouplings;d)Swivelconnectors;e)Pumps;f)Meters;g)Strainers;h)Electricallyoperatedvalves(forusewithflammableliquids);i)Mechanicallyoperatedvalvesincludingshearvalves;j)Pressurereliefdevices(forusewithflammableliquids);k)Mechanicallineleakdetectors;l)Castingimpregnationmaterials;andm)Gasketsandseals.1.4RequirementsfortheinstallationanduseofdispensingdevicesareincludedintheCodeforMotorFuelDispensingFacilitiesandRepairGarages,ANSI/NFPA30A,andtheNationalElectricalCode,ANSI/NFPA70.1.5Theserequirementsapplytowiringmethodsusedtoinstallorinterconnectsuchcontrolequipmentwhentheequipmentislocateddirectlyonorwithinthehousingofthedispensingdevice.1.6Theserequirementsdonotapplytocontrolequipmentthatmayauthorize,monitor,orinterruptoperationofapower-operateddispensingdevice,norotherauxiliaryequipment.TheseproductswouldbecoveredundertheStandardforControlEquipmentforUseWithFlammableLiquidDispensingDevices,UL1238.1.7Theserequirementsdonotcoverdispensingdevicesforusewithdieselfuel,biodieselfuel,diesel/biodieselfuelblends,fueloil,lubricatingoil,orkerosene.1.8TheserequirementsdonotcoverdispensingdevicesforusewithLP-Gas,whicharecoveredundertheStandardforPower-OperatedDispensingDevicesforLP-Gas,UL495.
